Hip Hop in the Ville #14 Mac Million
Written by Crystal Walker
Mac Million an artist that has been flooding the blocks of Nashville, with music. Originally from Mississippi he made his way to the greater Nashville area. By the year of 2005 he made Nashville his permanent home. Around the 8th grade music really became a part of his life. Now instead of just jumping head first into this industry blind sided. He took his time to develop, not only just his talent, but, to also get a better understanding of the business behind the music. Having the advantage of being side by side a producer by the name of Cali Green. He became his visual shadow, as he worked Mac Million was right there concentrating on each and every move taking place. Not putting himself in the "average rapper" category. Mac Million kept his music close to him, depending on his mood or what he may have went through on a certain day, it all comes out through a song that is club vibe, to grown and sexy, or even gospel, he will deliver. No average rapper here, using the knowledge he gained over the years with what he already knew, he began his journey. About 3 years ago Mac Million started writing and building his own brand. Now at 34 years old and becoming a rapper, producer, and C.E.O. of Money Boyz Ent., and having dropped 4 mixtapes clearly shows you can't put a number on talent. The name of his first group mixtape was entitled,"The Money Boyz". After that, Mac Million added his solo mixtape to the streets called,"The Mac Million". The third was a group mixtape entitled,"Money Boyz Swagg So Different". Mac Million has a new mixtape with Money Boyz called,"The Gift Of Money Boyz II". Mac Million feels, that with his music he can use that to gather our younger male attention. He wants to show the young black men to be leaders and mind thinkers.
